Ringo Starr has canceled the final dates of his U.S. tour with the All Starr Band due to illness. The drummer fell ill just before the band's scheduled performance in Philadelphia.
In a statement shared on social media on September 24, it was announced: “Today Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band regret to inform fans that they must cancel their upcoming shows, including tonight’s concert at TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia, PA, and tomorrow’s performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.”
“Ringo has come down with a cold and, after consulting with a doctor, he has been advised to rest and cancel these two shows.”
As always, Ringo and the All Starr Band extend their peace and love to fans, hoping to see them again soon. Refunds will be issued for the canceled performances.
This news follows rumors of a new Beatles documentary documenting the band's first trip to the U.S. According to *The Sun*, titled *1969*, the film will explore the band's remarkable debut in America, which sparked Beatlemania and drew over 70 million viewers for their first performance on *The Ed Sullivan Show*.
"The Beatles made history when they broke into America in February 1964," an insider shared. "Apple TV+ has a documentary coming out that revisits their rise and how they paved the way for bands like the Rolling Stones in the U.S."
The source added, "Beatlemania was wild in the UK, but American fans really brought the energy. The hysteria that took over when The Beatles arrived is unforgettable, with thousands of teenagers showing up wherever they went."
Describing the moment as a significant part of music history, the insider noted, "It has been reimagined and re-released, and the outcome is truly remarkable."
The documentary is expected to be released on November 28.
